Crypto News & ICO Reviews
If you are planning to send all your Bitcoin Cash to an exchange to sell it immediately after the fork, then please, take a moment to consider your privacy.
Because BTC & BCH are coming from the same address you'll have to be very careful before making any transactions.
If you sell your BCH on an exchange where you've registered your identity then the exchange and authorities know you own at least X BTC. (Where X is the amount of BCH you've sent to the exchange)
If you send all your BCH in a single transaction to the exchange then it will link together all of your BTC addresses.
If you send all your BCH to the exchange on a single deposit address then your BTC addresses will also be linked.
If you send your BCH in different transactions to different deposit addresses but at the same time and from the same IP then they can also be linked.
If you want to move your BTC to a different wallet before importing your private keys into potentially unsafe BCH software, then you'll also have to be very careful not to send everything in a single transaction.
Use the coin control feature of your wallet to handle the sending, so you can make sure you only send coins from one address at a time. If you don't then you will likely group multiple of your addresses together, reducing your privacy.
If you don't know how to use coin control and you value your privacy then please take some time to learn about it.
