Crypto News & ICO Reviews
So few weeks ago, after I've finally got my Ledger Nano, I transferred some bitcoins from Circle to my wallet. Today I've got an email from Circle requesting information on the address BTC was sent to. Here's what they're asking:
To comply with federal regulations, we'll need some information on your transactions. This information is confidential and we use the feedback from your answers to help improve our product.
At your convenience (but within the next 30 days), please reply to the following questions regarding the transfer of [amount] BTC on [date]:
What is the name of the recipient of this transfer? If it is a company, let us know.
What is the address of the recipient of this transfer? If full address is not known, please provide as much information as possible.
Now I'm not sure if I'm really comfortable with sharing this information so they can link my Bitcoin address with my personal information. Having used many exchanges this is the first time I'm being asked for such details and I'm not sure if I should comply.
