Sooner or later, but until August 1st businesses will understand that BIP148 UASF is a real thing and even those who did not make any public statements or was opposite will have a button that switches their node to one that enforces segwit. The start will be slow. Many will doubt about their choice. But a single spark can start a prairie fire. Within days after some loud movement those remaining companies will push the button. The rest of the users will catch up soon as well. That will be the moment Bitcoin became mature. Both in terms of technological advancement (as segwit scales it on-chain plus enables massive off-chain scaling with LN, Side Chains etc) and in terms of network independence (from hostile miners, closed-door corporations and even Core Developers-as-a-cliché: that is important to understand the whole point of User Activated Soft Fork and the fact that Bitcoin Core as it is will never include BIP148 patch from its parents). Who ever promised that scaling from cypherpunk-net to the network the whole world will use who knows how many centuries will be as easy as as rolling out V0.14? It is never easy to make a step that leaves childhood behind, but it is a necessary step. Do not be afraid of all those precautions and risk – they exist. Life is full of risks but you can not just stand still and do nothing, that is just not how things work. Treat this UASF BIP148 SEGWIT VS SEGWIT2X as a last obstacle of the long journey after which Bitcoin will reach V1.0. Do you remember how long it actually was? It is time for the community to decide what implementation to run. It is clear that we finally reached an agreement: XT, Classic, BU all these are in the past. Though, somebody still wants to feed us a piece of contentious shit in a shiny segwit wrapper. Do not step back. Take the risks. Run the node. "We are all Satoshi".
