Went into one of my banks today to withdraw what I consider a small sum. The teller requested my ID even though I entered my pin. Not entirely unusual but uncommon for me to experience. Once I handed him the ID he entered the number into his terminal. That was highly unusual and concerned me since an ID is enough to secure services with no SSN in my state. Anyway, I asked about it and was told ID has to be entered for any withdrawal over $500 at any of their branches.

Can anybody confirm if this is just this bank or all US banks now?
