I am the dumb guy who wanted to get some BCH, but when CB said they weren't going to honor the split, I sent my single BTC (purchased at $700) to a downloaded wallet address program. (Ironic that CB has now honored BCH, and I didn't get a share because I moved my coin out.)

Then, I proceeded to paint myself into a corner by impatiently uninstalling and deleting the cache files of the program–repeatedly–because, before it would show my balance, the program wanted to download the entire transaction history, but my computer was freezing it up.

I came here, asked for some advice, received the obvious, "lol noob", etc replies. But, a few people took the time to give me actual advice which resulted in me getting my coin back in mid-October.

Thanks, redditors.
