Hello everyone!
A week ago I read a news article about Bitcoin and decided to buy some coins to test it out. I used Coinbase to convert EUR to BTC, and my coins are currently stored in my Coinbase account's wallet.
Today I had some time to browse Reddit, and I heard Coinbase is not the best place to store bitcoins.
What do you suggest as an alternative? * I found a great tutorial about moving money from Coinbase to an Electrum wallet. Should I do this? * I heard blockchain.info is safe. Should I register and make a wallet there?
I am definitely thinking about a "long-term investment" (if it's possible), so I'm not planning on spending my Bitcoins any time soon.
One more thing: if I understand correctly, when I install the Electrum wallet I'm going to control my own public and private (?) keys. Where should I store those? Is it safe to upload them to Google Drive or Dropbox? Or should I just store them on a pendrive?
Sorry for the newbie/dumb questions, I hope I'm not asking the worst possible things.
Thank you for your help!
