As someone who believes in Bitcoin, I was lying in bed last night and two issues came to my mind that I believe could possible hold the currency back. I'm curious if anyone has considered solutions to these problems?

  • The first is automatic payments. How exactly would this be set up? I'm sure most people aren't going to want to manually manage their payments every month. Does a system like this already exist?

  • Ease of use. The idea of paying with Bitcoin was cool a few years ago. But now that ApplePay and AndroidPay are pretty prominent, using Bitcoin is a hassle, relatively. Definitely a first world problem, but there is a difference between a two second card swipe/NFC and scanning a QR code and typing in the amount you want to send.

Thoughts? My biggest concern is the latter. As much as I would like to believe that people would be more interested in a decentralized currency, convenience is king.
