So I know these types of posts pop up every so often but they never really go into detail about how to check and they are usually old (most of the links are dead).

So my question is does the file size matter? like if your bitcoin folder is 10.4 GB is that small? Also does it matter if it's in the Appdata Roaming folder?

How would I check the amount online? I do have a wallet.dat file can I just check it there? Is it still using my GPU to mine at the moment? How would I check?
